Leisure Club: must be at least 50 years young; meet at 11:00am the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month in the Burgundy Room.

 

Mary Ann Patchan - Moderator

 

Bingo Volunteers: staff St. Mary's Bingo on Tuesdays, 7:30pm to 11:00pm.

 

Meets after the Monday daily Mass to clean the church.

 

The committee plans social events to promote Christian fellowship through dinners and other seasonal occasions.

 

Raffle Committee: coordinates St. Mary's major fundraiser and plans events for the afternoon of the raffle drawing the 3rd Saturday of May.

 

SHARE (Self Help and Resource Exchange): participants perform two hours per month of volunteer service and receive bagged groceries worth $30-$35 for a $20 donation.

 

 

Altar Servers: boys and girls in grades 5 through 12, assist the priest and deacons at Mass and other ceremonies.  Fr. Coelho is the moderator.

 

Children's Choir: sings at the 9:00am Mass the first Sunday of the month October through June. Rehearsal is at 8:00am prior to the Mass.

 

Contemporary Choir: sings at the 9:00am Sunday Mass; rehearses second Monday of the month or as needed.

 

Schola (formerly Sanctuary) Choir: sings at the 11:00am Sunday Mass; rehearses each Thursday or as needed.

 

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist: must be 18 years old

 

 

 

Church Advocacy: participates in the Archdiocesan sponsored Justice and Advocacy Council and Legislative Network, the Maryland Catholic Conference, the Pro-Life Committee, supports the Forestville Pregnancy Center, and participates in the annual March for Life.

 

The St. Vincent de Paul society works to assist those in temporary need of charitable assistance.
